Code of Conduct

Cadenza is built by volunteers from many countries and backgrounds. We want it to be a place where people can contribute without fear of harassment, whatever their experience, age, ability, identity, nationality, religion or language. Our approach follows the spirit of the Contributor Covenant 2.1.
What we expect
Section titled “What we expect”- Be respectful and assume good intent. Disagree with ideas, not with people.
- Give feedback that is specific and kind; accept feedback gracefully.
- Welcome newcomers. Explain jargon and point to docs instead of dismissing a question.
- Be patient with language differences. Issues and pull requests may be written in English or Chinese; use a translation tool if you need one.
- Respect people’s privacy. Never post someone else’s personal information, and do not share recordings or transcripts.
What we do not accept
Section titled “What we do not accept”- Harassment, insults, personal attacks, discrimination, or sexualized language or imagery.
- Trolling, deliberate disruption, or repeated unwanted contact.
- Publishing others’ private information without permission.
- Advocating for or encouraging any of the above.
Enforcement
Section titled “Enforcement”Maintainers may edit or remove comments, issues and pull requests, and may temporarily or permanently block anyone whose behavior breaks these rules. They will explain the decision to the person involved when it is safe to do so.
To report a problem, use Security → Report a vulnerability on this repository and title it “Conduct report”. Only the maintainers can read it, and they will keep the reporter’s identity confidential.
This applies in all project spaces (issues, pull requests, discussions) and when someone represents the project publicly.
